Does anybody trade in PC games?

I was wondering if Gamestop or EB would take PC games for credit..? I've got a few I'm willing to get rid of so I can get some more console stuff.

You could try, because they do take PC trade-ins. But if you thought that their exclusion list for console games are bad, wait 'til you see what they offer you for PC games, provided that they'll even take the games in the first place. In most instances, unless it's a popular title like Warcraft III or Sims, you'll get very little trade in credit.

Another related issue is the sad reality of piracy. It is much easier to duplicate PC games than the console game discs, which is another reason they offer less for trade-in PC games.

I'd suggest calling ahead to make sure the store would accept your PC games before making the trip.

I asked that at EB on my last visit, as I have a load of PC games I'd get rid of. The guy told me "We take it, but we only pay a few cents a game, maybe a couple dollars if you have everything for it and it's fairly new."
