SMS How many shines did you end up with?
 

Did anybody get them all?

I've had it since it was released, and I have 95 shines. I still play at least a couple hours every week, but I don't even remember the last time I got a shine (usually I just mess around accomplishing nothing in the hub world).

I ended up with 118. The last two shines would come from trading in blue coins, but I haven't been able to find them, even while looking at a strategy guide.

I think I had about 35 or so before I stopped playing... just didn't enjoy the game that much.

Wooo! I have 36! Im in second!

I got up to 43 before it became boring enough to stop playing.

44 and I'll get just enough enough to finish it. Someday.

I have 80 or 90 something last I remember before I stopped. I beat the game, and just felt the task of finding every blue coin was just too daunting.

I'm at 119 with about 6 blue coins left to find, but I put the game on hold a couple months ago. It was taking far too long to track down the last blue coins.

I don't use faqs or guides, since that defeats the purpose of playing... so, finding the last blue coins gets a little tough.

But, I'll go back at some point and finish it up. It was getting tedious to go through each episode again after I'd just played through the game. If I go back in a couple months it'll be fun to re-visit the levels.

I'm at like 12. Dont' feel like playing it anymore right now..

I'll never get them all, the blue coins are stupid and the timed red coin challenges in the platform stages are too frustrating. It's just not worth bothering with, given the limited amount of gaming time I have. I'd rather play something else that's fun, rather than messing with those tedious tasks.

After I squirted the Princess for 30 minutes, the game wasn't very interesting to me.

darn, i thought SMS = Sega Master Systems... was all confused for a second :)

Mmm.. Wonder Boy 3. Now that's damn good gaming.

Only have like 30 on my current game, and I probably won't get them all. I consider it retarded that they are wondering where all the shines are, then they turn around and sell them to you for coins....:roll:

117 for me. A lot of those blue coins are too hard to find. I don't mind "collecting" things when they're out in the open, but when you have to try spraying every little spot in every episode of every level, that's too much for me.

That was my first thought. To what other SMS are we refering?

I ended up around 100 I think. I only got the blue coins that I happened to spot. I hated those ones where you have to spray a spot and then run halfway across the level before the blue coin disappears.

I still have a couple of regular episodes to finish.

I think I'm the only one that actually liked the timed red coin secret levels. That is old school gaming right there baby!

73 now. But Im at an annoying part on all the remaining episodes. :mad: Those freaking chuckers will nudge you and toss you off into space. Im lined up and I swear the guy will nudge me off a bit before he chucks me. I hate those bastards.

I only got 12 (I think). Sad to say, but I lost interest in this game pretty quickly.
