Xbox S-Video Cables! Are they Better??

Who uses S-Video Cables?

Do they really improve quality picture over the cables that comes with the xbox?

I found this in ebay since xbox.com wouldn't show me the complete Advance AV Pack Cables.

Kar10, earlier today I made a comment to you on your thread about a RCA TV, and you had a link to it at BB. Did you see my post to you?

What happened to it? or am I loosing it? :hscratch:

I just picked up the Advanced pack for $3.99 (used @ EB) and it was a great improvement! Some graphics that had a little movement to em are now crystal clear.

No, you are not loosing your mind. I deleted earlier so I won't get in some peoples nerves by opening multiple threats and I did read your comment and I'm still seriously trying to improve the quality of the picture and sound playing video games. And trying to get a new TV.

How did this cable made the improvement?

Did it make the games look sharper? colorful? Detailed?

"Did it make the games look sharper? colorful? Detailed?"

Sharper and more detailed yes, I don't know about the color... maybe a little.

My TV has great color... you might want to check out the JVC I was telling you about before you make the purchase.?. Just a thought.

Good Luck

& if you can find the cables for $5.00 it's a no brainer.

I have to say it makes a huge difference. Especially if you have a widescreen HDTV set...the 720p mode on Tony Hawk 4...my god! and the 5.1 DD surround with the optical cable...geez.

Doesn't HDTV get damage playing video games? or is it projection Tv's?

Which ones gets damaged?

I've been playing video games on a 65" projection HDTV for a year and I've never damaged it.

I play on my 50" & 65" Toshiba but i've lowered the contrast and rotate games between games and video's. My first RPTV got burn-in from the "Station Bug" but that was becuase I was a newbie then and left it in "Torch" mode from the factory. Live and learn.
