Gamecube vs GCN
 

Just a suggestion....when posting about the Gamecube or Gamecube games. If you could use the word "Gamecube" instead of the abreviated "GCN" at least in your subject line and maybe at least once in your post. The reason is obvious to anyone who has tried to do a search for GCN to find out the search engine requres a min. of 4 characters to do a search.

What about PS2? :)

I don't know why, but I hate when people use "GCN".

What's wrong with NGC? We have the N64, not the 64N. We also have the NES, not the ESN.

Howabout we all use GCN! and PS2! That way it'll be searchable and we can all be like really excited too!

I know. Let's call the Gamecube "Sheila" and the PS2 "Henry."

Less confusion that way. As an added bonus, we can say "I'm going to go play with my Sheila."

GCN is the official abbreviation though. PSX2 is wrong.

That's going to cause a little confusion. Mind if we call them both "Bruce" to keep it clear?

For whatever reason Nintendo chose "GCN" as the acronym to represent their little cube and I'll stick with it through hell and high water. :D Even if it is a little "Engrishy" ;)

Let's just treat all the thread titles like they are eBay sales, all thread titles for the new Nintendo system should include:

GCN Gamecube Game Cube GCube's Starfox for $?? at ???

Why don't you just use GC? That's most people use it.....
The only other thing I can see getting confused with that is gift certs, but since its video game talk, I'm sure people would understand..... GCN is a little confusing.

Well the point is that if you want to search for GameCube posts you can't do a search for GCN and you certainly can't do a search for GC. You can search for gamecube but that only finds the posts with the actually word gamecube in it. Any post that is using just GCN or GC will be skipped. Hence my suggestion that everyone posting a gamecube post try to include the full name at least once in the post.

You should type it "Starfox" and also "Star Fox" and also put the word Nintendo in there or the alternative "Tendo".

So: GCN GameCube Game Cube GCube Nintendo Tend Star Fox Starfox for $?? at ??
