Acclaim's SLC Studio closes its doors... my friend's out of work... :(

Got an e-mail from my friend today saying that they announced that Acclaim has chosen to shut down its Salt Lake City, Utah studio and lay-off everyone.

What a wonderful Christmas present for him.

I know you all hate Ack-lame... but it's sad to see more people out of work.

Hmm...I think I knew some guys working there. I'll have to look them up and see if they are affected.

Prett y much everyone was affected. They laid-off everyone but 5 programmers that they are sending to the Texas studio (in Austin) to continue development for the Legends of Wrestling franchise.
