Police 911 is out for PS2? & Motion Sensor works?!

Is it true this game is already out on the PS2?? And it supports the motion sensor technology!?! I can't seem to find any reviews for it on Gamespot/IGN, but there are vague mentions of a Japanese version on Deja.

Does anyone have it? How well does the motion sensor stuff work? How good of an arcade translation is it?

This game is my PS2 killer app. Vice City can pitch itself into the ocean for all I care, but dang, if P911 is out and works well, I'm plunking down money tomorrow for a PS2.

I haven't been to EB in two days but I do not think that this game is out yet.

Is there some kind of apparatus that does the sensing? Because I would definitely pick this up. I always wanted to play the arcade game, but I felt kind of goofy doing that moving around like that in front of people. I'm self-conscious :).

it's been on gamespots preview section for over a year. It's not coming, if it did, it'd be like steel batallion and cost 200 dollars for one game that is too short. In my dreams, it would be released with a device like the octagon sensor for the sega genesis and you could hook the guncon 2 up to that all for around 100 bucks. Oh and of course Police 9112 would be released as well and everything would be made of chocolate.

From further searching on Deja/Google, this game has been out in Japan for PS2 since *last* Christmas. Crazy. It's out in Europe since April. Most incredible to me, the way they implemented the motion sensor is INGENIOUS: With a USB webcam!

Apparently, you can just use your own USB webcame, hook it up, and it will act as a sensor. Man's ingenuity never ceases to amaze.

(Though I haven't seen any reviews, so I've no idea if it works well). Anyone got the link to a good PS2 Europe review site?
