I bought DOA 3 at launch for $50 and still own it.

Get Max Payne on your PC if it can handle it. Control is much better and graphics are a little cleaner.

Both are good games though.

I'm not sure if this is nationwide, but here in PA my Target sells DoA for $30 regular price. If you don't want to wait or not going to BB on Black Friday is worth $5 to you, might be a good idea to check it out.

Where are these black friday deals coming from? What are some other ones?

Oh yeah this is a pretty good deal, but not an awesome one, DOA3 can be had for low 30s / high 20s on half.com

Had it, sold it. Never looked back. You can beat the whole game in like 10 minutes with each character. Might be worth it for the multiplayer, but I use games as my alone hobby.

Well to be fair, most fighting games are multiplayer oriented, this is no exception, VF4 apparently is (although after playing DOA3, the graphics were hard to stomach and I didn't notice much of a difference between the gameplay).

BF at BB is insanity here, pure insanity. But MP for that price might be doable. Where can I get that netflix coupon?

I think we've been misled, I don't see any of the deals you mention.

Looks like this guy was causing trouble: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/member....o&userid=34307

dammit all to hell! people lying on this board! well, it DID say DOA 3 and MaxPayne for $24.99 --- but now it doesnt!

Netflix Coupon? well i went in to get Halo, and some sales person said "want to save $5.00" and i said "yeah"...

anyways, he gave me a netflix DVD case with a bunch of coupons in it, one is $5 off any electronic over $20, or soemthign like that....$1 off a cd, $2 off a DVD, etc

they scan it, you give them info for a netflix account (just for verification, addy, CC, email) and they email you an offer for a "free trial" which i didnt do, but i still got the $5 off, if you sign up for the "free trial" you also get a $10 BB gift card in the mail....

NO OBLIGATION, just a few emails from BB and NF, prolly some snail mail to...

anyways, i have read on the board that some sales people will just give you the dvd, without ringing it up, and giving them your info for a possible netflix account

I signed up for the Netflix account to get the $5 coupon. But the interesting thing was since I had a Netflix account previously on the email address Best Buy had registered, I was not eligible for the free trial.

Therefore there was no obligation to sign up or anything, I just clicked on "no thanks" on the plan setup page. And I got the $5 coupon no hassle.

FYI...

I picked DOA 3 up two weeks ago at EB for $20 during their last sale on used games.

To answer the original question though, it is definitely worth $25, unless you are one of those people who hate fighting games.
