timespliters 2 for the box/ps2

ok,how come there arent any places to actually save one's game? ive been very impressed with this game so far,but disapointed byt he lack of save zones, its hard to accomplish stuff and then no way of saving without beating an entire level. once i turn off my xbox, its gone and id have to start a whole level over.
argh!

Great game. I have the ps2 version.

Just beat it in 2-player this weekend.

And now am working through the challenges and 1-player.

Didn't think it was all that hard and only had one major jam where I got really frustrated (lining up the symbols in the aztec / natives (??) level).

It was pretty easy though.

I think I'll put in the first TimeSplitters and go through that one again.

Very fun game but yes the save spots are insane. I guess thats part of the challenge not to piecemeal a level and to have the skill to do it in one or 2 goes like real life? I love the mapmaking abilities--cant wait for a way to download more!

It really does take a lot of repetition to beat some of the levels. Knowing where enemies and cameras are, knowing where to go, where objects are, etc. Though I've been annoyed at times, too, especially since you start at the save point with the same amount of life that you got to it with. The lack of health powerups is very apparent in this game. But once you memorize a level, it makes things much easier (both in single player and multiplayer, of course). Just be thankful that you have a level select!

I have heard, however, that beating the whole game on hard is next to impossible for the later levels. I've heard of people cheating with gamesharks who still had a difficult time. Not to mention getting all platinums on the arcade mode...

I have to say that I was really disappointed when I found out they took out the "official" online mode, but since then the game's really grown on me. I love the tons and tons of options, and that you actually have to get good at the game to unlock everything.

this is true, once you reach the atom smasher level, game over. this level is nearly impossible to beat on hard, i dont even want to know how the other levels are after this one. this is coming from someone who blew through halo on legendary single player. i mean the levels just get so hard its isnt fun, but actually painful to play the game, once i got to this point i sold it on ebay. it was fun while it lasted but got boring fast for me.

Damn right. I was barely able to beat the Atom Smasher level on Easy. I'll be at it again on Normal soon and I don't know what I'll do then.
