Which to buy smugglers run or SR2?

I'm new to PS2 is it worth getting smugglers run or should I just get smugglers run 2? In general when there is a sequel to a game are they usually drastically different as far as gameplay, or just content?

Okay. I'd recommend the 2nd version. I've played both. More polished over all.

If you owned a GC I'd reommened getting SR: warzones, it's the best version by far. SR2 will serve you well though; good game.
