How much do you think i could get for my xbox?
 

Hey everyone

I'm thinking about selling my xbox, and I'm wondering what you think I might be able to get. THe Xbox comes with

1 Console, includes original box and manual

4 games, Oddworld, Halo, JSRF, and Morrowind(without manual)

3 contollers (1 normal, 1 S, 1 interact)

Not sure, but you'll want to sell it before the new bundle packs make it out everywhere...

The Ebay price would be about $250 roughly. Nice working systems are $150 or so then $25 per game (Halo and Morrowind 35 and the other 2 worth about $15). You would pay fees and stuff so $240 or so after all is said and done. This requries the most work and effort (along with risk) on your part. It also helps if you have any Ebay feedback (helps entice buyers and gives sense of security). With no feedback I would expect about 10% less.
I would guess the used game stores would give $150-$175 in TRADE (rough estimate) and a pawn shop would give $125 cash. Purely speculation (educated though it may be).

You'd get less than 200, unless you worked really hard at selling it.

XBOX (No Box or Manuals), Cables, 1 Controller, NBA Inside Drive 2002, Rallisport Challenge, Tony Hawk 3...

Shipped it went for $281.00

I also told him I would throw in a 2nd Controller and the DVD kit for $20.00 each, I haven't heard back as to if he wants to do that yet though.

Hope that gives you an idea of what you can get for it.

That went for $281?!? What's that as a percentage of what the bidder could have easily bought all those for new at retail? Over 90%? [Let's do the math... $200 + cables (?) + $25 + $20 + $20 + $20 = $285 plus whatever the cables would cost]

Thank goodness for uninformed buyers, I suppose.

Why sell it? All the really good games start coming out around 1 year into any consoles lifespan. Same thing with x-box. On the horizon you have splinter cell, medal of honor, baldur's gate and a bunch of others. And Peter Molyneux just showed of a bunch of good games that are due next year.

For now Max Payne is great. i've heard Hitman 2 is good and I just bought Commandos 2 which is very different than the usuall console game. And there are a ton of good sports games.

Yeah, i understand what you mean, but I just got a really good computer, and most of the games i really want (MGSS, splinter cell, Hitman 2) are on hte pc. The only game im worried about is Halo 2

I'm about to sell my geforce 4 ti 4600. I did the math and 5 years of computer upgrades are over $2000. Plus tha games. X-Box is less than $1000 over the same period. And they have some good games on it. And no crap I have to put up with win2000. Decent OS, but it does weird stuff sometimes.
