I was REALLY looking forward to this game... and I held out a LOT of patience for it... but I'm at the point now that I really dont care anymore...

...but I'm sure that would change, just a bit, if 3D Realms would release it already!!

I really do not know how they could release it without it being a mess. they would have had to rewrite code over and over again as computer specs changed and video cards changed

Nope, don't care at all anymore. I may play it for 10minutes at a friends house at some point, but i'm def. not gonna go out and pay money for somethign that's gonna look (and probably play) extremely outdated.

I'm guessing it'll basically be like Diakatana...hyped up, but by the time it came out it was just a huge flop.
I still laugh at how the maker of Diakatana doesn't understand why people don't like it. That game was horrible. (oops...tangent)

3D Realms can't afford another Prey. But I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't better than games like NOLF2.

I await for the announcement that DNF will be built on the Doom 3/Quake 4 engine. DNF has gone through the engines for Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3 and I believe a version of the Unreal engine as well. This game is pure vaporware. The longer they wait the more work they have to do on it.
