Apartment Set Up To Create Illusion Of
Well-Rounded Life RIVERSIDE, CA—Hoping to trick visitors into thinking he leads a well-rounded life filled with diverse interests, local resident Andrew Higgins has outfitted his apartment with such accoutrements as a framed La Dolce Vita poster, an acoustic guitar, and a magazine rack filled with back issues of The New Yorker. "I'm clearly into some pretty cool stuff," said Higgins, 26, who devotes 95 percent of his evenings to playing his Nintendo GameCube or patronizing a local topless bar. "This apartment is indistinguishable from that of a true Renaissance man." |

Originally posted by Gallant Pig I actually prefer this one: http://www.theonion.com/onion3726/vi...character.html "What awaits me at the end of my lives' journeys?" Snake asked. "Is there a Paradise on the other side? Or will it all end in a full-motion video sequence that hints at a forthcoming sequel?" The hallway then filled with nerve gas, fatally asphyxiating Snake. Added Mario: "It's-a me, Mario!" |
Okay, I have to thank Gallant for posting that link to the Solid Snake article. I haven't had a laugh like that in a long time. We're talking tears. After I read it, I immediately re-read it and still burst into continuous laughter. Snake ruminates, then perishes. So predictable...yet so damn funny!

Originally posted by finbogg "You are Dumb." My favorite T-shirt quote (next to my "Let the F**cking Begin!" shirt....also from The Onion.) Now, if they had some legal ground to stand on at the time they may have hired a real lawyer that would have explained the situation. Instead they sent me an email from their supposed lawyer threating me to give it up right away. So whats the deal with "You are dumb."? |
It's a slogan on a T-shirt they've been selling for years (back when they were a Madison weekly newspaper). Go check out their website, it's in the store.
