Unreal Tournament 2003 demo is coming!

It could be out as soon as tommorow to sometimes during the weekend.

It's about time the demo is released, they've been saying '2 weeks' for a couple of months now, but it should all be worth it.

UT2k3 is a multi-player game. A single player game using more or less the same game engine will be released later and is called Unreal 2. I believe they said the demo will include 4 multi-player maps. You may be able to set up some matches with bots and play that single player, but mainly it's intended for online play.

The bots are apparently very good, they rigged them so that they could act like players and know every spot on every map. It might be fun playing single player, but it's not made for it.

beard: MarkRein[Epic] What % chance is there you will finish it (the UT2003 demo) thursday?
MarkRein[Epic]: beard--> % chance for Thursday is low. Friday is more likely.
MarkRein[Epic]: beard--> could be Saturday or Sunday however
MarkRein[Epic]: beard--> but not too far away. Just be patient!

About time, I played Insurgent so much people are starting to wonder if I cheat... I was 14/1 with the 1 being a suicide since the game minimized... gotta love it, everyone is so predictable

edit- im trying to get it from Gamespot but it's not connecting and my stupid 'reservation' bs they offer didnt work

Geez, I finally get into fileshack, and wait the estimated time. That goes by, the "time left" turns to "a few more minutes", and with each refresh, the "average wait" goes up a minute with my "wait time" 3 minutes past that . GRAH!

Yeah - that reservation thing isn't working... stupid. I've got 118 minutes left on fileplanet and 11 minutes left on fileshack... I hate fileplanet. I hate waiting. I want an oompa loompa now!

Crap - Fileshack...
"Average wait time = 12 minutes"
....
"You've waited 24 minutes"
"Average wait time = 24 minutes"
...
"Approx download start = 12 seconds"
...
"approx download start = A few minutes"

ARGH!

90 minute wait left on fileplanet. I'll bet that's done first.

My actual wait time was 39 minutes and the average wait time was 31 minutes. It was 6 when I first got in the queue...

Still, it's a lot better than fileplanet.

You win Jolt - Fileshack just started me and I'm getting 280kb/s average. 50% done.
