need advice on selling games/systems

i am looking to sell my old games and systems (gameboy, NES, SNES, Genesis, game gear, and Atari 2600). What is the best place/method for selling them? should i try to ebay them or go to some place like funco land?

also, is their a website where i might find approximate values of some of these items?

thanks,

bmac_007

Check out the retail stores first, but most likely you'll get a better price on ebay. I'd start putting stuff up for sale around October or early november.

Yeah wait towards xmas time, and go ebay. The stores will rip you off.

FYI: Funcoland (aka Ripoffland) no longer will give you cash for games, only crappy store credit.

thanks for the replies.

i havent sold anything on ebay before. do you think it will be difficult to sell the stuff if i have a zero rating?

is it best to sell individually, in small lots, or all at once?

thaaaaaaanks,

I would recommend individually. You will probably make more overall.

I wouldn't be TOO worried about the zero rating. When I first started out I bought some little $20+ things and the rating wasn't an issue. I think it's only really important if you get up over the $50 range. Just be a good seller. Most people realize that they had to start at zero too...

If it's cheap stuff then it shouldn't make too much difference. I'd accept pay pal and credit cards through billpoint for more bids.
