New Tomb Raider sounds crappy.
Well, leave it to Eidos to take a popular franchise and destroy it by making mediocre games.
The new Tomb Raider seems not to be shaping up too well.

We rarely see a preview this critical from Gamespot. They didn't seem to like this one much at all, and the way Eidos is putting the game together, they'll likely invite unflattering comparisons to "Resident Evil" and "Metal Gear Solid 2".
I was kind of hoping Eidos would use the jump to PS2 to really re-energize the Tomb Raider franchise, but I can't be optimistic after hearing this.
They've still got three months to whip the thing into shape, but, on the other hand, they've only got three months to whip this thing into shape if you get my drift.
Is this still on anyone's "to buy" list? For me, there's too much other good stuff coming out to waste time or money on a bad "Tomb Raider" game.

well, they kill it by simply adding a Male character to be an equel to craft. I mean come on.. the selling point of the tomb raider series was you got to play as a female indiana jones looking at her ass the whole time.
what kind of sales do you expect when you throw in a male character to play as?

I've never liked the series. They turned what was a solid idea into "stare at some blocky chick's ass for hours." That said, this new one might be alright, depending on how well that new character plays.
