I can understand where hes coming from. I repect the guy for trying to keep a somewhat postive image for the kids and the young kids who are his fans. I mean having a game that has nudity, cursing and what have you named after you doesnt really make you look like a positive role model, especially when your as famous as he is. Although i would of liked it better if the game was under his name but thats ok, im still getting the game!

That chat turned pretty ugly!

Started with fans and kids then...
You are stupid: you should still keep your name on the game for the money!
Dave Mirra: I wish money was the only thing I had to worry about but I'm looking out for you guys and not putting my name on a game that's not good for the young riders.

dave: do you like men?
Dave Mirra: I gotta great girlfriend... So sorry I don't. But if you're looking for men you may want to go to a figure skating website.

this is stupid (tampa): why are you all wasteing your time?
Dave Mirra: Actually it looks like you're wasting your time because you're the one sitting there writing the useless questions.

orlando (trenton,NJ): what up dave you pireser your lip and cut your hair like ryan nyuist did you lost a bet. P.S good luck a the X-games

Dave Mirra: I shaved my head but didn't pierce my lip, so no I didn't lose a bet. I just gave myself a training haircut before the X Games.

Dave Mirra: Thanks guys for logging on but I gotta run... It was great chatting with you and be sure to tune into the X Games!
Did you lost a bet?

We were talking about this at work. None of us could believe Dave would put his name on this piece of perverted crap. Dave is such a straight laced guy I just couldn't see him promoting a porn game.

I'm glad he dropped his name from it.

I hope this isn't going to be a trend in video games. Appealing to the lowest common denominator, while it will certainly sell, just seems like a step in the wrong direction. This seems like profanity and nudity just for the sake of profanity and nudity. If you're making a mobster game and excessive profanity adds to the story, by all means, release a mature title. GTA3 seems like a title that crossed a line, but did so while preserving the atmosphere of the game.

I can already tell I'm going to get sick and tired of having to read quotes from the developers talking about they're "exploring new arenas" and "taking video games to a new level". Yeah, sure you are.

"Huh-huh, boobies. Check it out."

I can see where your coming from, and I can agree. It seems that after GTA 3 everyone and their mother is trying to cash in on something they feel is a "trend". I stand by Mirra by removing his name from the game, and dont feel his actions were stupid. Although after reading the article in last months Game Informer I am curious as to how this game will play.

Here is a hands on impression of the game. This is the first I heard of it.

Sounds like 'The Anna Nicole Smith Show' of video games if you ask me.

"The neatest addition to the roster is sniper BMX, which puts one player on a bike on a hunt to collect 10 items around the level and puts the other player in a stationary position with a machine gun, sniper rifle, and rocket launcher. If the rider collects all the items before getting blown off his bike a certain number of times, the rider wins. "

This feature sounds awesome!!

If the game sucks it WON'T SELL (at least not for long). If mature titles are just mature to be mature they will die out. As just about any mature gamer, I don't buy video games for boobs. I will rent real porn if that is what I want. I play games for the gameplay, and at the end of the day so does just about everyone.

I can't blame him for not wanting his name attached to this immature turd of a game.
