I can understand where hes coming from. I repect the guy for trying to keep a somewhat postive image for the kids and the young kids who are his fans. I mean having a game that has nudity, cursing and what have you named after you doesnt really make you look like a positive role model, especially when your as famous as he is. Although i would of liked it better if the game was under his name but thats ok, im still getting the game!

We were talking about this at work. None of us could believe Dave would put his name on this piece of perverted crap. Dave is such a straight laced guy I just couldn't see him promoting a porn game.

I hope this isn't going to be a trend in video games. Appealing to the lowest common denominator, while it will certainly sell, just seems like a step in the wrong direction. This seems like profanity and nudity just for the sake of profanity and nudity. If you're making a mobster game and excessive profanity adds to the story, by all means, release a mature title. GTA3 seems like a title that crossed a line, but did so while preserving the atmosphere of the game.
I can already tell I'm going to get sick and tired of having to read quotes from the developers talking about they're "exploring new arenas" and "taking video games to a new level". Yeah, sure you are. "Huh-huh, boobies. Check it out." |

If the game sucks it WON'T SELL (at least not for long). If mature titles are just mature to be mature they will die out. As just about any mature gamer, I don't buy video games for boobs. I will rent real porn if that is what I want. I play games for the gameplay, and at the end of the day so does just about everyone.
