Splashdown PS2 vs X-box?
Ok, when Splashdown came out for PS2 last fall I rented it and it just didn't do it for me. That was around the time Waverace Bluestorm came out, and I realize now I didn't give splashdown a chance. My wife picked up the PS2 version because it was $20 cheaper (Wives are smart like that) but I am wondering if it is worth trying to trade in the PS2 version toward the X-box release. I already opened and have really enjoyed it for PS2 so far, and my son is addicted also.
Opinions? |
I loved Splashdown when I rented it a couple weeks ago. I really liked the fact that it had more than just 5 or 6 courses. Not to mention IMHO it was more difficult.
FYI -- Waverace was one of my favs on 64 and GC. |
The X-Box version is quite a bit better. Much cleaner graphics and frame rates. Only 2 new tracks however. If you have already played the PS2 version to death you may not find it worth it. If however you want the best possible version of the game the Box is better.
p.s. the 2 new tracks are killer, big waves and cool graphics. |
I picked this up at EB when I traded in some dvd's during the $10/dvd trade-in sale. Since it was the only thing I thought looked decent I picked it up. To my suprise it is alot of fun. The manuevers and tricks add a little depth to this game. The graphics and physics are very good. Also, it is fairly challenging but there are some early courses to help you get used to the controls. As far as the PS2 version goes I have never seen it but you may want to go to an EB and ask them to pop one into their display machines to see for yourself.
