God that seems like a long time ago.
The truth is I don't like Microsoft. I stated why, I vented a little bit, and I moved on. I now make a concious effort not to say anything bad about them I don't think I have recently. If I have then that's just my true colors shining through. That's gonna happen from time to time.

It's just frustrating to see all these "Xbox is doomed" threads because the only console I own is an xbox. Even so, I don't bash the other two. They each have their own strengths, and when I looked at the games coming out, I saw more that I liked on the Xbox. I just get frustrated when people say that the Xbox is doomed or terrible because it is made by Microsoft.

Who gives a sh*t? I had enough money for one console... I chose GCN because I liked the games better. Haven't regretted my choice. What do I care what a million Europeans are playing? I mean, I am still happy I got the Saturn instead of PSX... If someone is happier with an XBox, I say good! That's what selection and choice is all about.

I think that's the week after Mario came out in Japan. I'd be interested in seeing what the previous week's numbers were.

According to sales reports from Japan, Xbox sales have actually been higher than the GameCube since Microsoft cut the price of the Xbox. It's not much of a victory... but in Japan, we'll take 'em where we can get 'em.

Trigger, I think that is old news, and was only temporary that Xbox was selling better.
Regardless, they both sell like crap compared to PS2...
I think annual sales for Gamecube so far are 600,000 approx.. and XBox so far is 250,000 approx.. sure Gamecube has over twice as many sold, but its still nothing compared to PS2.
A peanut-sized market is a peanut-sized market, and they both are peanut-sized markets in Japan,... Whereas in America, both have sold considerably more.

The latest numbers I've seen for Japan from the week of July 21st to the 28th:
PlayStation 2: 75K units
GameCube: 17.5K units
Xbox: 5.4K units
