Anybody know upcomming PS2 Greatest Hits?

Well the title is self explanatory...

Anybody know upcomming PS2 Greatest Hits releases? I would assume FFX and GTA3 soon, anyone know any titles and dates?

I'm hoping for GTA3 and MGS2 myself, along with some others.

Cheap older games is the main reason I picked up a PS2 after the price drop. I figured I could plop down $20 every once and a while to kill time in between the AAA Gamecube titles and occasionally pick up a new game like Tekken 4 and Shinobi.

Josh,
I wouldn't hold your breath on MGS2 seeing as it is being rereleased as MGS2:substance. I doubt Konami will submit it to Greatest Hits until they have gotten all they can from that.

With the Substance game coming out soon, I think there is a good chance Sons of Liberty will go to $19.99

Along with the sales criteria, a game has to be out for atleast one year. GTA 3 could be one come October and MGS2 November.

I'd like to pick up tekken tag at 19.99, and possibly ridge racer V. Im sure those would fit the criteria

Well GT3 was only out for like nine months when it came out as a GH title last May, and TMB which was also an original GH title was even newer.

Ridge Racer is already $20 without being a greatest hits title

The criteria for becomming GH is this:
1: 400,000 Copies sold
2: 9+ months of release
3: Publisher must submit it to be added

As for MGS2:substance... it is an almost identical version of MGS2 with a few added features like VR missions and skateboarding. I highly doubt Konami would be foolish enough to offer Original MGS2 for $20 when they want people to buy their slightly upgraded version for $50.

Anyway, back to my original question. Anyone know any official future GH and when?

Well, MGS2 is $24.99 used at EB currently, at least the one here, so hopefully it will at least drop to under $20 used when MGS Substance comes out.

I'm pretty sure that Devil May Cry is going GH very soon. That leaked GH boxart from EBGames.com (which went down after like three days) was pretty suspicious...

Oh, and I did see that Star Wars: Starfighter is part of the Greatest Hits lineup now... popped up at Wal-Mart out of nowhere.

Yeah I have an ebgames magazine that says Devil May Cry GH, and according to EB and PSM a game only has to be out for 8 months and sell 400,000 copies, which I believe GTA3 is out 8 months in August, but I wonder if they have to put on the GH list if it meets these two criteria, because they no they can still sell them for $49.99, but after GTA:Vice City comes out expect to see a price drop on GTA 3

Metal Gear Solid may go Greatest Hits soon, but I won't bet on GTA3 anytime soon. Rockstar knows what they are doing and the game still sells AWESOME at $49.99. Why lower your price when you are already the top selling game right now? Maybe after Christmas, but I will be SHOCKED if GTA3 goes to $19.99 in the next 5 months even with Vice City coming out.

If substance is coming out for Xbox first like its suppose to(least thats what I read)then there really is no reason MGS2 shouldnt be a GH since its on diffrent platform,if it doesnt go GH I can see the price droping some.

TTT will go GH when Tekken 4 is released, this is not a fact but a good guess.

I think that MGS2 will become a GH title when the PS2 version of MGS: Substance comes out, because many people just own a PS2, so why would Konami lose $30 on every sale of the PS2 version of MGS2 just because the better version is out on the Xbox? I dont think they would, but that's IMO.

In the latest EGM, they're advertising Midnight Club Street Racing as a greatest hits title.

Dead or Alive 2: HardCore is for sure an upcoming GH. Also it would not surprise me if Tekken TT was too.

According to a post on the IGN forums, NBA Street is now a Greatest Hits title. For $20, I'll probably pick that one up.

I was in EB yesterday and TTT was still $29.99 and had not greatests hits logo on the packaging.

I'm sure it will go greatest hits soon after Tekken 4 comes out.

As it was posted earlier street is here. Saw nba street at eb yesterday as a greatest hits. Definately a great game and suggest it to anybody that doesn't have it. If you like sports games I guess.
