I just showed my girlfriend the cover, and here is her response.

"Thats stupid, why is it called that."

I think its a decent name, kind of weird.. but I think we know the casual girl gamers response to the name.

Oh, the name certainly sucks.

Apparently she was still moved by how bad the name was to tell me how much the game would suck.

I thoguth she liked mario, to which she replied "not in 3d."

So I guess she is still a fan of the originals, i dunno.

I do know that she also hates my Xbox except for Fuzion Frenzy.

In all honesty I can sympathize for her, that right for her. I too wasnt a big fan of Mario 64 when I first read up on it, but after a few hours at the N64 kiosk when it was on display at Toys R Us I changed my tune. It does take time for gamers of any sort to accept things as they are, or chose to remain in the dark and refuse to try something new. All I can say is I hope she decides to give the game a try at least, I feel she may be missing out on Marios greatest adventure yet if she doesnt give the lil plumber a chance. If I can grow to love Sonic in 3-D (believe me it took time) Im sure your girlfriend can appreciate Mario Sunshine.:)

She also hates Sonic in 3d, but loves him in 2d.

I think thats how alot of people feel these days? Who knows.

My GF loves the originals, even the GBA incarnations. She looked at this and said "Its cheerful" in a condescending tone.

I know that tone well, BTW.

Alot of people bought tickets to see FAst and the Furious too, guys.. Doesn't mean it was good.

Needless to say, I enjoy Sonic Adventure.

But alot of people dont.

I think some of you miss the fact that there are in fact more than a million gamers, or people that might like games. Crazy huh?!
