Xbox Mod Chips...Do they work?

I was wondering if anyone has tested the xbox mod chips and seen if they work. Now that I can get an Xtender for $29 or an Enigmah for $49, I'm thinking about getting one. Also, which is the better of the two, Enigmah or Xtender? Thanks a lot

I also have a question regarding the X-Box mod chips. Will they enable the X-Box to play R2 and 3 DVDs?

Depends on your soldering skills. :) I'm guessing they work to some extent, but it also depends on what you want the modchip to do.

I went with the Enigmah since it mentions future software support upgrades are being worked on.

I'll post when I get mine installed (probaly next weekend) as I have R2 and R3 anime disc's I can test.

Since I don't see any links there, I'll go ahead and ask -- will these let me play games from other regions -- ie. Japan exclusive games or anything? -- Nobunaga's Ambition, etc.

They totally unlock the player to all regions including games and movie dvd's.
