Medal of Honor: Frontline opinions?

Anyone have this game? What do you think?

I love the game...just finished it today. When I first heard people complaining about how hard this game was....I laughed....I thought....people who just want to waltz through the game in one day.

I would have to admit.....this game is very hard in places. Especially the last section which I think is categorized as the sixth area which is made up of a few missions. These missions are very hard and take alot of time to map out so to speak......be ready to restart these missions multiple times in order for you to finally complete them. It is a shame that they do not have checkpoints throughout a mission ala Syphon Filter so that if you die you do not have to start at the beginning. Definitely worth a purchase....the very first mission is the beach invasion!!! That in itself is worth the price of admission. :)

This game is great. Although there are occasionally framerate hiccups, the graphcis overall are pretty good, to say the least. It can be a bit linear, but presentation is everything in this game.

It can indeed get frustrating sometimes since some of the levels can be long and there are no checkpoints or mid-level savepoints, but the frustration and difficulty are welcome. I was getting tired of easily beating every other game out there with minimal fuss, so this is refreshing. I'm glad that it's not like Jak & Daxter, where you simply respawn with full health and everything you've collected before dying.

The game isn't perfect, but it's still worth purchase.

It sounds awesome but it's a bit pricey right now. How are the earlier versions of the game. Worth getting? I'm loving going back and playing MSG1 after beating MSG2, so I'm down with reverse-generation game play.

I liked the first one as well, but I never played the 2nd.

Buy the first title....the second(Underground) became pretty ridiculous when later in the game you came up against armed german shepherds... -rolleyes-

Prior to Frontlines, I finished the first game again and enjoyed it as much as the first time. The graphics obviously are not as good but they do look better on the PS2. :)

I really wouldn't let that keep you from playing Underground.... The part with the armed dogs was a joke, it was a bonus level that wasn't attached to the story at all.

I really enjoy this game, but there are a couple of levels that I cannot get gold stars on. I have gone through them numerous times to make sure I got everybody but to no avail. Also, I can't figure out how to get the codes. If anyone can help that would be great.

www.gamefaqs.com has all the codes for most every game and I have found their Medal Of Honor Frontline walkthrough, codes and FAQ very helpful. The invicibility and unlimited ammo codes must be entered QUICKLY!!
The game is pretty damn hard in places on normal (ridiculously hard on HARD), but is always fun unless you keep dying on the end of a level (that DAMN smelting room on level 14!!!).

You may need to backtrack in order to encounter more enemies. In some levels, they "magically" appear if you backtrack.

Anyone know if this is going to be available for the PC ?

I played this for the first time last night and was really impressed. I cranked up the speakers and it was awesome hearing people shouting at you from the left or right side of the room! All the noise on the first mission really added to the game. You could just stop and look around and see so much going on around you, I was mesmerized for a while. This is the first time I have played a MOH game so I did not know what to expect.

well, mine just came in and I find it totally mindblowing. It seems so real. When an Allied soldier got blown out of his foxhole right in front of me I jumped and was genuinely upset. Quite an amazing game.

Is this game worth buying for me? I rented it for five days and got to the scenario where
Spoiler:
I have to blow up the engines, get the plans, etc. but that is as far as I got on that level.
Think I can finish it in one more rental period? I generally don't replay games so that is not an issue.

If you played it straight through, you should be able to. Seeings how you have kids, you might be like me and sneak in 20 minutes here, 20 there. I'm almost done, 3 weeks into owning the game :(
