Metal Gear Solid Substance
 

From the video they showed at E3 this is going to be really cool. It's supposed to include Metal Gear Solid, MGS: Sons of Liberty, VR Missions, and have a ton of extras. Some of the extras are the ability to play as Snake thru the whole MGS;SOL game and to play as Raiden thru the tanker mission and the return of Meryl!!

This is coming to both PS2 and X-Box.

So are they releasing the PS2/Xbox versions simultaniously or else how long is the time between the release?

The only announced date is November for the X-Box. It is believed both the PS2 and PC version will come out next year, so there is evidentally a bit of exclusivity for the X-Box in this.

Konami is also coming out with a DVD of behind the scenes stuff on Metal Gear Solid this summer. Have no clue how much that will be or what it will totally entail.

Do you think I should hold off on buying MSG 2 for the PS2 with this looming on the horizon?

I would recommend that. I own the PS2 version and am still thinking about selling it to go toward the X-Box version. This release is just more of MGS2, which cannot be a bad thing unless you're in the camp that did not like MGS2.

Isn't MGS2 going to be a best seller soon?

not until november. To be a Greatest Hit it has to have sold X number of copies and been out for atleast a year.
