PS2 and internet surfing?
 

will the PS2 ever be able to replace a computer for web surfing? With the network adapter and HD coming soon will this be a possibility? I have only had my PS2 for about 2 months so I haven't really read up on upcoming features. I think it would be great for those who can't afford a console and a computer if this was an option. Please tell me if any of you have heard of anything. Thanks.

Yes you will be able to web surf with the PS2 as a viable option to replace surfing with your PC. The PS2 network adaptor should come with a version of Netscape which they showed off at the last E3.
