Suggested Xbox games
 

I just bought an Xbox and was wondering if you could suggest some Xbox games. I have Halo and it is incredible. Also, I like sports games and if you guys could suggest which NFL, NBA, and NHL games are the best respectively. Thanks!

In my opinion, EA makes the best sports games period. Sega comes in a close second. You really can't go wrong with either one.

I would say hold off on an NFL game till Sept when the new ones come out. If not Everywhere i go I see Sega and John Madden for 30 bucks

In my opinion, forget about EA.

Check out the Xbox 1st party sports games, especially the basketball game, Inside Drive.

NFL - any of the big three (ignore Konami's straight to the discount bin effort) could be a good choice. Be aware that Fever is a love-it-or-hate-it game, since it's a first effort.

But, remember, we're just 3 months away from the new NFL games, and the college games hit in July.


NHL - Hitz is good for multiplayer arcade; NHL 2002 is good for a more-sim like game.

Personally I can't wait for Sega's true sim NHL 2k3 in the fall, but that's no help to you now.


NBA - ignore NBA Live. A majority think NBA 2k2 is the #1 choice, but many like Inside Drive, as well. Again, first effort flaws are what critics have targeted the latter game.


MLB - ignore Triple Play. Most people would say ASB is a good, or even great, game. But, after weeks of glowing hands-on previews, reviews are today trickling in (from both critics and consumers) that Sega has truly stomped on the competition with WSB 2k3.
