I have to choose : GameCube or PS2

I have both at the moment.

I've acquired some unneeded bills, and would like to get rid of one of the systems.

Ive not played either for a long time, but the only games I want that interest me anymore are Mario Sunshine, and Wrestlemania X8..

Give me some incentive to keep one or the other, and back up your argument with some reasons!

Will this one is tough.

you could get more for the PS2 since it costs more meaning hold onto the GC.

or you could sell the GC and your dvd player if you have one netting more than the PS2 meaning to keep the PS2.

which one do you own the most games for. since if you sell it then you could sell the games getting more money from that system or you could look at it that the one you have the most games gives you more things to play meaning you are less likely to buy a new game saving money :)

or if you do not play them much sell them both and move on. this will net you the most and save you the most time.

and if they drop in price then maybe you can rebuy them later for less money.

I think I may sell the PS2 and the games( I have the most/best games for this...), and see what that nets me $$$ wise.
I'll sell the DC off too I think.

I'm slowly outgrowing video games I think...

I hope that's not the girlfriend talking ;)

I'd sell the PS2. If you haven't played either for a while, that apparently means you're bored with the current game libraries. IMO the GCNs future lineup is looking better than the PS2 at this pre-E3 point, so that's the reason I'd keep the GCN.

I'm in the same boat as you. My interest in video games have really dropped off in the last year. There just seems to be much better way to spend time, like going out running, meeting friends, or even seeing a meaningful film. If not because of Dance Dance Revolution (hehe) and ICO, I wouldn't have played anything in the last 3 months (well, I dabbled in other games, but those are the only ones that I devoted time to).

That being said, I'm keeping the PS2 and the Gameboy Advance, partly because I am still very interested in games which are more music-oriented (like Frequency, Rez, DDR, etc.) or niche games like ICO and Suikoden 3. I've always been into electronic music, and the other consoles just don't have music games, period. As for the GBA, I travel a lot, so it makes perfect sense for me (plus, too many good games coming out on it like Tactics Ogre and Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance).

How I wish that games like Trinity and Gabriel Knight were still made today....

Then be a man ... and keep the PS2 for your girlfriend. -smile-

Make everyone happy -- keep the Cube and get THPS 3 for it.

Yep always ask her what to do before doing it ;)

since she is putting out I would only sell what she agrees with.

maybe this is the lack of sex part of me talking however :(

by the way are you selling the Gc for $149 shipped email me at [email protected] ;)

Thunderball 05-08-02 11:36 AM

I'm about "thisclsoe" to selling my PS2 and all the hookups/games...but I dunno. Maybe I'm panicing about these bills too much..

I don't WANT to part with either of them...but I don't play them either. It's weird

hook them back up and play a bit. if you still do not have an interest then sell them both.

By the way do you have a dvd player. as I mentioned if you sell the GC and the dvd player you might net more money

and remember:

[email protected] ;)

I've decided...

PS2 is outta here!

mtucker 05-10-02 07:47 AM

Sell them both now while there is no price drop in effect and you may be able to get maximum value. Then after a price drop see which one you missed the most and pick it up again for the lower price.

Well based on the two games you are looking forward too and the fact you could get more for the PS2, sounds like you made the right choice. Just get rid of it before the price drop is announced.

Yup, I know

I say dump them both and buy them again later... or else buy an xbox later. :D
