Resident Evil deals thread
Ok, I'm on a search for the best deal on this game.
I know EB has a 'bring 2 GC games in, and get RE' deal, but I don't have 2 games that I want to sell.
Also, they won't take All star baseball 2002. (damn)
So what about Circuit city, best buy, etc?
I really don't understand why we haven't heard much more about this release in commercials...

I hadn't heard of the 2 for 1 deal. I might do it, but THPS3 is the only game I have that I really want to get rid of. Oh well, I doubt I could get RE at either of the EBs around me on launch anyway since I didn't pre-order it.
I'll probably just hit up Wal-mart, Circuit City or Toys R Us on launch and pick up a copy.

Anyway, has anyone actually seen RE advertised for $39.99?

Hmmm...I've got an interesting decision to make. That Target deal is pretty good but my closest Target is at least 20 miles away. That EB deal is pretty good too. The only problem is that I only have one game I'm willing to trade in. Is there anywhere I can pick up a cheap GC game? Is Super Monkey Ball still selling for $20 somewhere?

Does the gogamer newsletter ever do deals on console games? I've never really paid attention to anything other than the pc bargains - but that might be a good find if they do.

is resident evil being released on the 30th or on may 1st? i've seen it listed both days on a couple sites.

Another option for those who don't have a Gamecube yet is to go to Toys R Us. If you buy the cube and a game at the same time, you get a $25 gift card.

I bought Super Monkey Ball from Toys R Us since it was only $29.99 and then ran over to Best Buy to buy more games since they are on sale there (or was).

Personally for me RE & a price drop for the GameCube (if announced during E3) will push me over the edge to buy a GC. People seem to either love the RE series or hate it. In any case, if you bought it and didn't like it you can probably recoup your money by selling/trading it.

Sweet, sounds like I'm gonna be able to pick up RE at BB for 35 bucks, since there's a Target right next to the BB in Newport News, VA.
I'm also gonna get Bloody Roar for 35, since Circuit City has it on sale for 40 and I have another $5 off coupon.
This week is gonna be sweet.
