Best PS2 Baseball game?
 

Hi,
I'm starting to get back into the sport after a long absence and I'd like to pick up a baseball video game for the PS2. I played Allstar Baseball 2003 on my brother's XBox and it seemed great. Is the PS2 version fairly similiar? Any thoughts on High Heat 03 and the new Triple Play? These seem to be getting very polarized reviews, people either think they're great or awful. Right now I'm leaning towards ASB 03 but I'm curious what others think.

No doubt, High Heat is an excellent baseball game but I had to go with ASB 2003. The Franchise and Expansion modes make the game. With the ability to insert Create-A-Player's into your franchise and watch them progress over 20 seasons it's got me hooked. If you have no intrest in the franchise mode, you may be better off with High Heat. But if you want a load of replay value and lots of hidden features go with ASB 2003. That's just IMHO.

I'd have to say bar none it'd have to be All Star Baseball 2003 on all systems. I played High Heat and it gave me an ulcer. I didn't like it at all so I gave it back...good to try and then buy though.

HH2003 is just a lot more fun to play than ASB2003. The graphics arent the greatest but the gameplay is the best of any baseball game I've ever played.

I'm looking to buy a baseball game myself. Seems Triple Play is a distant third, but was wondering if anyone else had any opinions on this matter.

High Heat 2003 by far!

I picked up All Star Baseball 2003 and I love it. Thanks for the reccomendations though.

If you don't care too much about graphics, go for HH2003, the gameplay is unbeatable.
