Baldur's Gate rips off star wars. spoiler

I'm finally finishing BG2, yeah I know it's been out forever, but I got sidetracked by school and other games. Well it looks like your character and Imoen are siblings and that Gorion kept your true nature a secret.
Sounds like Luke, Leia, and Obi Wan to me

only difference is that my character is Yoda, I even got a bitmap and sound pack for him

Except in Baldur's Gate, you also have thousands of other siblings. In Star Wars, not all Jedi are related.

Looks like George lucas is gonna sue someone. ;) :p

Now, which story doesn't take a bit of star wars into them? or you can ask.. what tid bits did star wars take. :p

Didn't "Star Wars" rip off Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress?" It's all relative. :)

Could you imagine if all Jedi were inbred? -eek-

... thinking about it... :hscratch:

Bah, Star Wars just relied on old, tried-and-true storylines from epic works of times past. That, combined with ahead-of-the-curve special effects, is why it was so successful.

If anything, they're both "ripping off" an established literary storytelling tradition.
