Exactly, which is why your post was pointless. No one cares which console you like best. This thread was discussing hardware problems the X-box is apparenlty having in Japan, not which system people like best. Your post was off-topic, and besides that posts of that nature are against forum rules, when outside of "which console is best/should I buy" threads.

The scratching issue seems pretty minor. Normal usage of any disc is going to put small scratches on it. The more I read the details the more I'm convinced its a non issue. The scratching problem with vertical PS2 units did a lot more damage to discs.
