so lets get this started. how about meet in channel dvdtalk. east. i dunno wut time though. but i just want to see who might be interseted, maybe we can do this multiple times.

hey, sorry i cna't make it. at work right now, and have a bunch of stuff to do for this next week. i'll just post a message where whenever im gonna play sc so that u guys know. how about u guys do the same, and occasionally check channel dvdtalk.

.......wait, no one showed up :lol:. I guess it was too short notice for most people or they weren't interested. I was waiting with a friend of mine but eventually we just did a 2v2 with some of his friends and beat them, which was pretty cool.

I'd be interested. How about setting up a match for this Friday or Saturday evening?

That way everyone has a bit of time to prepare.

Just come up with a time, channel to meet in on Battle.net and a map to play. I'd assume everyone has Brood War, but you can't be certain, so it might not be a good idea to say Brood War only. Though that would be my preference.

I haven't played StarCraft in like a year or so. I better start playing to get used to the game again.

I might be free, I'll be interested in a game this weekend. BW or Starcraft? I think I lost my SC disc...

This weekend might be okay. We did a few Thursday night UT sessions a ways back and those were fairly successful. And Thursday nights are definitely better for me...

ok, thurs is good for me too, how about in the evening. Either BW or SC whichever everyone has.

sounds very tempting.. I may be able to get a friend to play as well.. so there are two spots. We could do a 4v4 or 8v8(if it can handle that) if need be.

I'll have to install SC and BW on my new computer I got last week...but if you need an extra player I'm in.

I haven't played in a month or two...but I should be able to get the feel back after a few minutes :)

Okay, I found SC and installed it. Logged on, played a couple games, got my ass handed to me twice. I was actually on the winning team once, but at the end of the game, I had like 1 building left and it was on fire. Did I mention I haven't played in over a year? I didn't find my BW disc, but I'll keep looking for it. Six is a little early for me so I might be a bit late, but I'm pretty sure I'll be there.

heh, sounds like we getting a nice large group of people, if this works out, maybe we can make it a weekly thing, whoever can make it.

Do we want to play a "money" map as they are called? Or just a regular map.

What's a money map?

A money map is nothing more than a huge map with basically unlimited resources. Some strategic water but each area has an entrance and a large area to build on. They work great for 4x4 play.

Sooo...its more about the fighting than struggling for resources.

And...with lots of resources you can build any and all units...and lots of them :)

These are my favorite maps to play. It really gets down to the strategy of units vs. units and not like I said struggling for resources.

I'll play either though...but I find these to be fun. Especially when you take on 5 or 6 computer zerg by yourself. They love to "rush".

I transferred over a great money map from my old computer last night.

We can try it...if you gents don't like it we'll do a regular map.
