OMG, that is a shame, nintendo needs to get its act together and release this asap (not sacrificing quality of course). This is a system seller for them, kind of like final fantasy was for playstation. 2004 is not going to cut it.

It did finally break the million mark shortly after the 2000 holiday season. You did not hear about it because
A) It was never inducted into the Player's Choice Million Seller list (i.e. game that sold for $39.95 such as GoldenEye and Mario 64).
B) It was considered a poor seller seeing how it was the quasi-sequel to one of the best selling video games to date (007).
C) NOA had began switching promotions and PR from N64 to GC by this time.
Sad really...

I loved that game...
Well, a million is still better then 95% the sales most games sell, so it aint that bad. I never followed the sales numbers of this game, I just assumed it would be high, but I guess it was right around "that time" everyone was focusing on new consoles.

While Perfect Dark was far superior to Goldeneye, I think it was the name James Bond that sold Goldeneye not some Joanna Dark chick. Aparently from all reports i've read PD Zero is going to possibly be third person (? anyone know if this is true?), which i HOPE it's not. I too hope for another Goldeneye style game.
