sorry for the bump BUT can you burn the files as .wav's onto a dvd. In other words, will the xbox treat a dvd burnt as a cd as the same as a cd burnt as a cd...

Thanks

1.) A WMA recorded at 128kbps at 44kHz is about 1MB per minute.
2.) An Xbox memory unit holds 8MB. It has 500 blocks. Therefore, 1MB is about 62 blocks.
3.) The rest is up to you. (I don't have my Xbox with me...) Record a 4 minute song on the Xbox. See how many blocks it takes up. If it takes up about 250 blocks, I guess you can say the songs are recorded at 128kbps. I guess.

edit: hint: the FAQ at the first post of the thread says:
3.How many blocks does 1 MINUTE of music take up?

59.08 blocks or 60 blocks.

I have a question about music playing and Project Gotham Racing 2.

What is the limit on songlist in PGR2?

I ask because, when I first started, I think I had about 100 songs total in a soundtrack, all my songs actually, and things were cool. Then I added about another 100, but when I add more to my custom soundtrack, I can only get 114 songs listed. Whats up with that?
Also, is there any way to get the music to play randomly? Each time I start a game, it's the same songs in the order that is shown in the playlist. I needs me variety. Granted, I love my songs, but dayum, I need it to be varied!

Thanks

I don't have an answer for you but if not that is pretty lame of the developers..i mean how hard can it be to make something random.

Yeah, I don't know if there is a random feature, and yes that sucks. Sometimes when I restart the game, on the first race I'll open up the in-game cd controls and try to skip to where I left off.

oh i do that too, but it's frigging annoying.
So is there a limit in PGR2 as to how many songs can be in a custom soundtrack?
I don't think I can have more than 1 custom soundtrack, can i?
