Has anyone ordered State of Emergency?
 

I just ordered it from EBworld.com. Is anyone else anticipating it and do you think it will be worth all the hype?

The only review I have seen gave it a 7/10. The reviewer seemed to like the technical aspects of the game, such as the presentation and graphics.

They didn't like the actual gameplay. The reviewer took a moral stance against the game. He said it was violence without a purpose. But the same reviewer liked GTA3.

I just watched the videos of the game over at IGN and I can see where that review is coming from. But I will still try out the game to find out.

I liked games like that. violent w/o purpose. j/k(i am not a pyschopath) sortof. I like action movies which are for the most part violent w/o purpose. its a way to escape. (used to play mortal kombat for hours when it came out) I didnt pre-order it but i'll probably pick it up

Being a rabid GTA3 fan I'm anxious for any news or impressions about this sucker. Thoughts?

From what have seen on the web (ign and whatnot) it looks cool to me. The concept looks great, total mayhem and apparently control camera and what not are tip top. its suppose to ship beginning of feb, so maybe more insights by weeks end

Was this an online review? I'd be interested in reading it, since all the impressions I've read have been favorable, and I was looking forward to picking it up.

I don't think it's shipping on Feb 5th anymore. Gamestop recently changed the release date from Feb 5th to Feb 18th. Ebgames will do the same soon.

How many are going to buy this game, looks damn good and looks like Grand Theft in a way, alot of volience.

I'm waiting on reviews, it is well below Maximo on the buy meter for my PS2.

I knew of that review...I'm looking more for a US review of the game. I have found that UK reviews can be extremely different than US reviews.

I agree. That reviewer takes a freaky moral stance against the violence in the game. I bet it will score at least 8.5 or higher at most review sites in the U.S.

Someone should tell that guy on HTF that Midnight Club sucked :)
