Are some stores pulling GTA3?
I know most people have just been saying lots of stores have been selling out of their copies, which in many cases is probably true. But I was at my local Wal-Mart today, and the GTA3 section on the PS2 shelves was empty. Only a few days ago, there must have been a dozen copies there. I'm in a pretty isolated small town, so I'm skeptical that it actually sold out that quickly. Still, the Wal-Mart here doesnt even have any copies of Final Fantasy X, so maybe that was banned too ;)
I know that it's not banned or anything, I'm just wondering if some stores were pulling copies for whatever reason? Brian |
In my area, wal-mart, k-mart, and target all pulled it. I have not seen it on the shelves in my town in over a month.

yes and it's around $53+ at many stores

I'm sure this game has become a "manager's choice" whether to pull or not..and the community probably has something to do with it.

I checked Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy.
I ended up buying it from a link on Rockstar's web site. |
From what I've heard at some stores the problem is it selling out as soon as they get copies in and not the stores refusing to sell it. Its been the number one selling game for some time.

every store in my area has it.

I suppose it's possible that it might have just sold out. If someone that actually worked a lot in the electronics area was around, I might have asked if it was pulled or not, but nobody was. Guess I'm glad I bought it when I did ;)

My store has been out of it for over a month now. We've put in rush orders, but have received no product. Perhaps there's just distribution problems in some cases. Every time they do show up, though, they usually fly off the shelves pretty fast.

i see it everywhere in the boston area

It's overstocked everywhere in Tampa.
