It works, but if you have a US PS2 it will not do PAL to NTSC conversion so you still can't play European DVDs on it. Unless your TV can handle a PAL signal, which most US tvs won't.

What do I need to do to play European DVDs? Is there a way to do the PAL/NTSC Conversion?

Most importantly is a multi-zone TV. Then you will need a multi-zone dvd player too (or the Toshiba SD-1200. SD-100, or the SD-2109. I have codes for them to open them up to multi-zone). I think that's essentially what the regionx is but it puts out the signal to PAL format so unless your TV supports PAL it won't work

Yeah, buy a Daewoo or Apex DVD player and access the factory settings Bought my parents one from Sam's Club for $99. Worked great with PAL -> NTSC and any region discs.

I just bought an Apex 1500....It plays both NTSC/PAL. Thats means I can just adjust the settings and I can play a Region 2 dvd and it will output to my NTSC TV?
