I would recommend Super Monkey Ball. Not only is it very different from your other games, but there's a lot of gameplay in it, with a lot of different kinds of games. You won't be disappointed.

i rented monkey ball with my friend and had a BLAST!!!

we had a couple brews and it was a good time.

is the one player mode enough to keep me going though?

i tend to play game alone most of the time, that is why i am asking.

Go for Super Smash Bros.: Melee. That game has huge replay value, and it's so addictive!! A must-have.

I personally enjoy the single player mode more than the multiplayer. It's very challenging and there's plenty of extra levels to unlock if you're good enough.

I would say rent Pikmin. If you have a solid 5 days (or even a weekend) to play with it you can easily finish it in that time. It is a great game, but for me it has little replay value.

Super Monkey Ball, on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic. It is fun and addictive, and it can take forever to finish the expert levels. The party games are also fun, especially Monkey Race.

Wave Race made me dizzy--the reason being that the water and wave effects are so realistic that it made me seasick.

So, in short, I would go for Super Monkey Ball

Super Monkey Ball and Pikmin are my favorites on the system (Wave Race and Rouge Leader are gathering dust).

Pick on or the other -- just can't lose. I will say that SMB pobably has broader appeal than Pikmin.

Personally i would make sure i own Tony Hawk 3. I've always been a big fan of the TH series and three is an absolute blast (especially with the super nice GC controller)
