Has anyone purchased the Microsoft warranty for their X-Box?

After they tried to sell me one for five minutes at Best Buy, I got home and opened the box and discovered that Microsoft is offering one, too. Funny Best Buy didn't mention that.

I bought the one at Best Buy. I didn't know that Microsoft offered one until I opened the box. 10 bucks more expensive than the best buy one so I am glad I got it from there and not microsoft.

yeah, but the one purchased from bestbuy is an "exchange" warranty. Meaning if it ever breaks down you get a brand new unit... Got it on my PS2

I should have gotten one on my PS2 but didn't and ended up having to buy a new one when mine broke (not Sony's fault, it was my fault) so after that lesson I got one from EB on my gamecube and one from best buy on my xbox just in case anything happens

most manufacturers of electronics offer their own warranty plan...the good thing about one like BB is that you can return it to the store for the first year and not ship it back...after the first year, they send you a shipping box, you ship it to them and they send you a gift card for the original amount you paid for your system...i used this on a DC and a PSX

Uh...I've been soo busy playing Halo since I got the console a week ago, I totally forgot about that plastic wrapping with instructions, warranty info, etc. Come to think about it, I've been forgetting to eat, do laundry, talk/see friends...
