Favorite Games of 2001
 

Mine will only be Gamecube and Gameboy Advance games as I don't have a PS2 or X-box and didn't play any 2001 games on my PSX or Dreamcast, but I'll list the top five games I'd like to play on other systems below.

5. Mario Kart: Super Circuit
6. Super Monkey Ball
7. Wave Race: Blue Storm
8. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3
9. Wario Land 4
10. Super Mario Advance


Games I'd love to play on other systems if I had the time and money.

1. Metal Gear Solid 2
2. Gran Turismo 3
3. Grand Theft Auto 3
4. Halo
5. Jack and Daxter

All I can think of off the top of my head for games released in 2001. When I get my XBOX I'm sure Halo will be tossed in there.

Well, I haven't played all the games released in 2001, but here's my top ten from the ones I've played. They are not necessarily in order. Except I think Halo is the best game I've played this year. I own a PS2, XBOX, Gamecube, and PC.

1. Halo (XBOX)
2. Shogun: Warlord Edition (PC) (best strategy game I've ever played)
3. NCAA Football 2002 (PS2)
4. Super Monkey Ball (GCN) (Love the mini-games)
5. Pikmin (GCN)
6. Amped (XBOX)
7. Devil May Cry (PS2)
8. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (PS2)
9. Conkur's Bad Fur Day (N64)
10. Gran Turismo 3 (PS2)

Some games I'd still like to check out

3. Max Payne
4. Silent Hill 2

Grand Theft Auto III... Followed closely by Final Fantasy X.

I haven't played all of 2001's games but I tried to play as many as I could because I have limited funds :D: Here are the ones I enjoyed the most:

I think its safe to say that while it may not be THE best year, this is definitely ranks as one of best years in gaming with the number of high quality titles coming out.
