After 3 weeks of working the phones to virgin megastores. Today i was able to pick up my xbox, extra controller, 2 games, and a memory card for $357. I am pretty stoked right now.;)

Congrats! Which games did you get? You gonna take the other stuff and trade it for more games?

Nope they let me pick 2 games. I picked up TH2X and madden 2002. Im going to go back and pick up halo tomorrow.

Did you have to get the memory card or was that your choice? I hate how they bundle memory cards when the thing doesn't really need it(unless you wanna bring save data to a friends of course). Congrats on the new system. I was very close to getting an Xbox but in the end the PS2 proved to good to pass up.

Thank god. Actually, to my surprise too, there is an Ontario in California.

Although, I've been calling about 5 "local" Cali Virgin Megastores. It will be mine, oh yes, it will.

LOL Ontario, ca. I got lucky I called them from work and they said they had some in. I almost crapped my pants, after hearing them say for 3 weeks that they were out of stock. So i locked the doors to my work and drove to the ontario mills. I work about 5 min away. They guy pulled it out and i played it for the rest of the day at work. The wife still doesn't know.;)


Thank you american express for that sweet discount. The cool thing is i sold my PS2 with 2 controllers 2 games and a memory card for 450 bucks. So i got paid 100 bucks to upgrade.:D

Its sweet. I have been in love with this machine since e3. I played all of 3 systems and this one seems like a better fit. The controller is huge though i will have to get used to it. But the Is the one im going to keep this time.;) The PS2 was good but i was a little disappointed overall.

I love that big goddamn controller, you can play for hours and hours and your hand never gets tired.

You know what's funny, it seemed like the XBox was a huge disappointment at the E3 show around these parts, but it's been doing a pretty respectable job once it got released.

Judging from the E3 posts, I thought it would be a huge flop, but it sure hasn't been.
