X-Box HDTV options?
 

Hi...

I'm just wondering about the different (just two, really) HDTV options for X-Box: The MS released HD Pack ($20) or Monster's ($65!!). Is the Monster one really worth that much more? What cables are included with either option? On the MS site (www.xbox.com), it doesn't look like any cables are included, but at the store, there's something in the package. Are those just the analog A/V cables? Does either option include an optical audio cable?

FYI: I'll be hooking this up to a a Toshiba TW40X81 16x9 TV (480p, 1080i) and a Sony DD/DTS receiver.

The MS pack comes with component as well as left and right audio. You then need to buy a toshlink for the sound if you want digital. I think the monster is over priced.

Agreed! Basically from all that I've read of opinions from people that bought the monster cables is that they just wanted the best possible. When these have been compared there has been no discernable difference. Hope we helped save you some cash. ;)
