Just ordered it, too. What's the worst they could do, cancel it?

I just bought that game last week at half.com for 30 and it's worth it. My biggest fear with buy.com is being overcharged and having to fight with customer service over it. I've been there before and it's not fun. For those willing to chance it you could buy it and make a nice profit on ebay. That game is currently selling there for 35 to 39.

I used to go to EB with a sealed game and just exchange it straight across for another game ... That was a year ago. So I don't know if they still allow that. But when I get the game, if it was $15, and I'm not overcharged, I'm just gonna do that again. If not, I can always eBay it.

Anyone get shipping confirmation yet? I went ahead and bought another copy to have around for that unexexpected gift and if I don't give it away I'll take it in for Walmart credit the day after Christmas. Thanks a lot for the heads up on this one!

No confirmation yet. Buy.com always takes a while with me anyway though.

So Walmart will let you do that? I called up EB just to make sure I could do it (what I wrote above) and now they have to have a receipt. Oy. So I cancelled my order at Buy.com -- I thought it was a good deal, but then I saw that the regular price is now $19.99 for it at most places anyway.

The Walmart here (Cranberry township PA) is wonderful about taking things back. They issue a store gift card for returns without reciepts. They do require that movies and games be unopened though. I'm still seeing the price at Amazon @ 49.99 and Kbkids @ 42.99. I'm wondering if I should cancel because Walmart will only give you credit for the value at the lowest price possible so if the games goes on sale anytime between now and Christmas you'd only get the lowest price. I did once make a profit from them, I ordered the wrong game at best buy.com and paid 29.99, took it back to Walmart and got 49.99 in credit.

Yeah, I think you should go ahead .. I think I may have been wrong about the $20, deal. My friend told me that ... in any event I could still sell it on eBay. But that's such a hassle for just like $10. I wish I had a nice lax store like that around here -- these places are so uptight.

As for the link -- I belive it is a referall, isn't that, er, "frowned upon" here.

I humbly apologize if that is a referral link. I copied it from the site I found the deal at. The moderator has permission to change it if he wants. Also, my order shipped today.

Thats not an official EB policy unless they've changed something recently. Stores on an individual basis can enforce a receipt only return if they feel their customers are abusing the policy though. When I worked there we knew who was BBRing (Buy/Burn/Return) and would cut them off from returns.

If anything, you should be able to do it with ease after Christmas, since the return policy becomes really slack then.

That's a good point ... but I don't see how one could BBR when the package is still sealed with all the security tape not broken. I think that it's a bad policy regarding exchanges, but then again, I do kind of want to abuse it. And I agree about Christmas, how can they turn down "I got this for Christmas, but I hate this game."

I don't think this is going to get cancelled (unless buy.com has limited quanitites.) I actually saw this at Best Buy for $19.99 in Mesa, AZ a couple of days ago, so I'm guessing the MSRP was lowered.

Every other site I've seen still has it in the mid to upper 40's. The Acclaim site sells it for $49.99. If there was a price reduction, I would think they would be one of the first sites to show it. The game was released in August and from what I've seen gets good reviews. I think $15.99 is a misprice and a steal.

I tried to cancel my order since I see there is a Target thread right now with the game on clearance. I hope it goes through but knowing buy.com it will be too late. Hopefully I can hurry up and return it to Walmart before the price goes even lower.
