Help with SSX Tricky shortcut
 

I've been trying now for about an hour to make to to a flying saucer in the Mercury City Meltdown level. The UFO is located about half way down the course. There is a parking garage that you go through, and on the other side of it, you can see the UFO in the distance. To get to it, you must make a difficult jump to a top of a building, then hit a rail for a jump up to the UFO.

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully made the jump up to it? And if so, is it worth my time to continue attempting it?
