Which consoles are progressive?

So, here's me and my HDTV, my game and my component cables. Absolu-freaking-lty fantastic looking, of course! A world apart from the old RCA cable connectors.

Now as I cast my eye towards the other two systems, it occures to me that I want something that works with my 21st century set up. My big question is: can either the X-Box or PS2 use component cables - or a similar set up?

I'd hate to take a step backwards after getting a taste of the good life.

The XBox uses progressive scan in its games, but not movies yet.

It also uses component connections. If you do get an XBox, make sure you at least rent DOA3 to take a look at the game in all it's HD glory.

The Nintendo Gamecube system also supports component output and most games support a 480 progressive signal.
