@home cable users might lose broadband....

@home cable users might lose broadband according to this site..

http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1004-201-8020240-0.html

I currently use @home, and it would SUCK to go back to 56k.. I'm so used to download things at 100kbps+, I couldn't even dream of going back to 56k.. At least I'll have internet I guess

Saw it over on Anandtech about a week ago. Analysts are saying there's only about a 30% chance subscribers will see ANY disruption of service. But what scares me is how my billing is going to change.

I think I would officially stop going on the internet if I had to use 56k.. I would still visit dvdtalk, anandtech, and check email, but thats about it.. We have 3 computers shared through the same cable modem, and if @home dies, it will be 3 computers shared through a 56k connection. Pray for me...

Rogers is picking up the reins in parts of Canada. Whew! I don't know what I would've done otherwise.

Well, it's Saturday morning and I still have my @home service.
I really hope it doesn't go down though..

I was planning on attempting to install XP today, but if it's gonna be up in the air whether or not i'll be able to get on the net to update my drivers and stuff, I think i'll just wait to see what happens.

I refuse to go back to 56k...i'd rather wait for Cox to get their cable service going.

Crap. People are dropping off like flies here. They got him too!?! Bastards!

I don't have to worry becasee I can't even get broadband. I called AT&T every damn week to see if it was available and they said "not yet, but we're working on it." #[email protected]@!!!

Funny thing is I know people who live two blocks away and they DO get AT&T Broadband. I now believe it's out of laziness that they don't deliver it here. #@%#^!!
