Obi Wan or Batman for the xbox?
Which would you get first? From my experience Ubisoft and Batman have my vote over Lucas Arts and Obi-Wan. What do you think?
And maybe some Cubers can give an opinion or two on Batman... |
I'll be getting Obi-Wan. Hopefully it will control as well as Heretic II, which I consider to have the best implemented control for a 3rd person perspective game. Plus, being a Star Wars nut it's the logical choice for me!

any thoughts here fellas??
and can some cubers post about their experience with Batman? must have, renter or dodge it like the plague? |

I am waiting to see the reviews on obi-wan before i buy it. They previews haven't been very enthusiastic. Usually if the previews aren't overflowing with praise the game is average at best.

I don't have high hopes for either, myself.
Batman reviews on its recent PS2 release were, for the most part, mediocre at best. And footage of Obi Wan running on a video tape at EB showed a very choppy game... visuals clearly unworthy of ANY of the four 128-bit machines. But since I obviously couldn't judge gameplay, and after seeing how quickly Xbox launch games improved graphically as their release dates approached, I'd be leaning towards Obi Wan from these two choices. |
I'm not that excited by Obi-Wan. I'll wait for the reviews. Batman: Vegeance is probably the best Batman game and 2nd only to Spider-Man as the best comic book character/cartoon adapations. However, it isn't all that great. The control is very limited. No jump attack, you can only grapple certain designated spots and no real freedom for exploration. The control has about a one second lag too it seems. It's good in the sense that each mission is different and all the boss fights are varied. Good voices and really captures the feel of the cartoon. I'd say rent first or wait for Dark Tomorrow which looks better IMO.

I had Batman for the PS2, but got rid of it because of control and camera issues. Maybe they cleared up those problems for the X-Box version, but I really doubt it.

Another vote against Batman. Hated it on the PS2.
