Somebody just bought the xbox box for $366
This was posted on anandtech... http://forums.anandtech.com/messagev...hreadid=624935
Apparently somebody bought the box that the system was in for $366.. I've been laughing for ten minutes after I saw it. HAHAHA!! |
hehe, good to see people are still stupid and getting screwed by the old PS2 box trick!
|
Man, if I could have snapped up some of those "For Display Only" PS2 boxes I saw at EB last year I could have made some mad cash.
Edit: I can't believe the prices XBox's and Gamecube's are going for on eBay right now. Makes me want to snag one of 'em on release date an sell that sucker. |
hell, you can get a "refund" for the price you bought it at, and still get to keep it. what is even funnier is what it said in the description of the item....
"You are bidding on a brand new Microsoft Xbox box, it does not contain the system, this is just the box and is for collectors only. This is the original box that that the systems will ship in, it's is not a promotional display the box actually contained an xbox unit that was set up at a local retailer for display. Once again for the really thick headed out there, this is just the box, the system is not inside. Shipping will be $7.00 to the 48 continental US states only. I accept Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, Billpoint and Paypal only. Happy Bidding! " Just to get some excerpts... It would be worth the negative feedback to sell a box like this. I am selling my GC box next week.
|
This just proves that ebay bidders don't read the auction description.
Man, this guy is dumber than the PS2 box guy. At least the description for that auction was vague. |
What sucks is, on ebay you must commit to your bid if you are the highest bidder when time runs out.
|
What's REALLY funny is the bid history.
It started at .01, and wound up at $366! with 17 bids! Meaning this guy isn't the only moron walking around |

I cannot believe how freaking stupid people are. -rolleyes-
|
Looking at the history...just looks like two or three idiots who really wanted that ncie shiny box.
Wouldn't that suck too if they got the box and the corners were all smashed and it was just not in good condition? :D |
Come on guys, we should all sell our boxes that our systems come in next week!
