I normally use the reviews at IGN and Gamespot to make sure my purchases will be worth it. Anyway, I am going to keep track of the reviews for both of the new consoles in this thread. I will update this thread when the new reviews are posted. For some of the IGN links, you have to be an Insider to see the actual reviews. The scores are for everyone. Gamespot has no restrictions.

ed. I can give you scores for that.

I really prefer to stick to the online sites. With magazines, you can't read what was in the review. Here, you will be able to click on the link to read the review.

Also, you really don't know when the mags saw the games. They could have seen a previous build when they reviewed the game. With Online sites, they will wait and review when they have the final version.

For instance, I really don't trust the Offical XBox Magazine. They posted all of the reviews of the launch games in the XBox Mag over 3 weeks ago. Who knows what builds they saw of the games? I know if IGN is reviewing now and I can buy the game in stores, then the review is of the final build.

Plus I don't get any of those Mags.

Ah. OK. Well, with the official X-Box and other "official" magazines, they supposedly get stuff from MS faster than others. IGN said they got finals of Halo, PGR, and Oddworld back in late October. They just said they didn't to unleash the final review until launch. All respectable major magazines get the final build (or they may be lied to, in the case of Pocket GTA for GBA for EGM).

There were 3 reviewers used on the games with three scores.

posted a bit of an update. Super Monkey Ball got added and Test Drive Offroad got added too. If IGN Gamecube ever updates, I might be able to add some more.

Before people panic over these ratings, the two reviewer that gave it the 6 and the 5.5 said if you liked the first Wave Race, you'd love this one. They just don't like the series, bitched about the control, etc, but said it was an impressive upgrade that fans of the original would love.

So basically, if you didn't like the first one, don't bother with this one; but if you liked it, you should pick it up.

Late Update: Star Wars Rogue Leader has been added. Insider only though. I can tell you the review is quite steller though. Very good read.

You should really add the reviews posted in the Official Xbox magazine run by IGN... They have several "exclusive" reviews that Next Gen and other IGN rags cannot run until next month...

ie: Both Halo and DOA3 got 9.1 (or something like that)

The Offical XBox mag is not run by IGN. IGN is about to release their own mag.

And I already stated my reasons for only posting online reviews.

Eep! thanks for the warning, haven't had a chance to play it yet but I was looking at those scores and was like "ack!" I loved the first Wave Race, its like SSX where the tricks are really fun to pull off.

And yeah, I'd have to agree with Flay about print mags, not that I have anything against them, but I havn't subscribed to any since the days of MK. I used to get EGM but they would give games like Mortal Kombat II perfect 10's and give The King of Fighters (or many other SNK games) 4's and 5 because they weren't "realistic." That was a long time ago, I think they have better reviewers now though and are much more informative. I actually do get Nintendo Power but I don't subscribe to it, it just comes in my mail I have no idea why and I haven't gotten a bill for it in 2 years :) Still I wouldn't mind getting EGM if it just came in the mail heheheh ;)

You are correct in that they are releasing IGN.Com magazine...

All I am saying is that I trust IGN/Imagine ... Be it IGN.COM or the official Xbox Magazine...

Added Ign's reviews of Fusion Frenzy and Nascar Thunder. Them seem like pretty solid Titles.

IGN just raped Luigi. I can't tell you the specifics about what Insider said, but I will say this. If you must play it, rent it! Don't spend 50 bucks on this title.

IGN != Imagine = Official XBox Magazine. You are incorrect. Do you see a Dan Egger on IGN's payroll? How about a Fran Reyes or a Mike Salmon? Funny, I don't...and I just named 3 of the 5 writers for OXM.

Imagine is a media company that deals in print magazines. IGN is a subsidiary of Snowball Inc. that deals mainly in on-line content. You are most likely confusing the IGN as an acronym for Imagine, which it is not.

For reference, Imagine media was the owner of Daily Radar which crashed and burned earlier this year.

I don't think I would say they "raped" it, just basically said it has no replay value, but it's a fun time while it lasts. Lots of compliments on the graphics, lighting effects, cloth physics, and overall polished feel to control and graphics (except the pre-rendered backgrounds.)

I will say I thing. If it had been a 3rd party game with a different character, It would have got ripped a new one.

The average is 6.4 by the way.

The overall (not an average) was a 7, which isn't nearly what I would consider to be a bad score.

I wasn't planning on getting it anyway though.
