Check out your local Sam Goody/Musicland. The one in Eureka has mainly the 2k2 titles left and most of them were going for $20. They also had VMUs for $10. Check out the PSX games also if you have one...they tend to be on the cheap side also.

Holy Score! go to your Target especially out of the way ones mine appears to have put out some games from the back.
Dc titles all 9.99
NFL 2k2
NBA 2k2
Matt Hoffmans BMX
Sonic Adventure 2

For 40 bucks I got 4 sweet! games

sniper308 01-02-02 02:25 PM

FYI, looks like www.bestbuy.com has removed most DC games/accessories, etc from their site. The link to DreamCast under video games has been removed. There are a DC few games under the weekly specials... looks like you can get to more titles using a search for dreamcast

For those in the WashDC area...Target B&M in Alexandria, VA (Potomac Yds) has a bunch of copies of DC game bargains for $4.90- $10

NHL2k $4.90, Jet Grind Radio $7.99, Marine Fishing $7.99
Tony Hawk I $9.99, Unreal Tourney $7.99, Toy CDR.

eebuckeye 01-03-02 09:58 PM

gexpress.com now has Soldier of Fortune for DC for $19.00, the cheapest I have seen it... Expect incredibly slow load times, but I still wanted this game...

Pato1 01-04-02 10:52 AM

www.kbtoys.com has the DC Sonic Bundle for $79.99

The Sega Dreamcast Sonic Bundle features a Dreamcast Console, a blue VMU, Sonic Adventure game, Sonic Shuffle game, and a demo of Sonic Adventure 2. Item Number: 110542

I still think that the $5 KIDSLINKS code may still work

kevin75 01-04-02 06:39 PM

if you have an electronics boutique near you i would recommend trying there. i got a VMU, virtua tennis, midway greatest hits 2, virtua athelete, and another game that i can't remember for about $50. they had many cheap used games.

which B&M stores still carry dreamcast hardware and games?
seems like most of the ones around here have stopped completely.. and I was avoiding going into the mall to go to electronic boutique or babagges.. I just needed to pick up a couple extention cables an a svideo cable.. I guess Ill probably get them at consoleaccessories.com, unless anyone knows a better (read: cheaper) place.

Picked up two 6-button Dreamcast controllers with built-in rumble for $9.99 each at Software, Etc. They're made by Innovation, and they're not licensed by Sega or carry any official seal of approval. They do work though, so they make good 3rd and 4th controllers for games like Virtua Tennis. They have a switch to turn the rumble on and off, and another switch to go from 4-button control to 6. I got a blue one and a black one.

sniper308 01-05-02 12:49 PM

twikoff,

my local funcoland has the S Video cables by nyko for $2.99 might be worth checking. I'm using one and it works well ...

I too need an extension cable & I forgot to look when I was at funcoland.

I've seen stuff still at Babbages, Electronic's Boutique, and Circuit City. I picked up my two extension cables and rumble pack on ebay fairly cheap. EB and Babbages seems to still be selling 3rd party stuff for full price.

i went by electronic boutique and kaybee tonight..
kaybee didnt have any DC stuff left.. and EB had the svideo cable, but no extention cables.. they wanted 7.99 for the svideo cable.. but since I couldnt get the extention cables there, I skipped it.. Im just going to order a couple extention cables and the svideo cable from consoleaccessories.com the svideo cable is cheaper there.. and if I have to pay shipping for the extention cables anyways, I might as well just go ahead and get everything from them..
next I think Im gonna start looking at the deals on the different controllers and guns.. they had several at eb that were marked down repeatedly.. thats one nice thing about having a discontinued game system.. extremely cheap hardware, if you can find it :D

Trevor 01-06-02 12:52 PM

another JC Penny bargain

I believe that their cheap controllers and $19.99 NFL2K2 were mentioned earlier, but now (in addition to those) they have Chu Chu Rocket for $4.99.

Also, free shipping with code 'welem11'.

And some really cheap jeans too.

tanman 01-06-02 02:38 PM

interact jump pack for 4.99 at EB as well as EBgames.com

darkside 01-07-02 05:55 PM

Target has lowered the prices of their DC games some more. This is what I saw.

Jet Grind Radio $5.50
Toy Commander $5.50
Sega Marine Fishing $5.50
Crazy Taxi $6.90
Crazy Taxi 2 $13.90
18 Wheel Pro Trucker $13.90

Thank you very much for posting this deal. I just got an email from KB saying that my Crazy Taxi, VMU, and controller has been shipped via UPS. Not bad at all for $4.79.

I can't get this to work.

Trevor 01-08-02 03:29 PM

As posted earlier, the KB deal expired days ago. It was only up for 24 hours or so apparently.

twikoff 01-11-02 11:09 AM

btw... this thread is a great post.. but pretty much all the bargains listed are out of date.. and no new ones have been added in over a month?

Absolute Zero 01-11-02 05:23 PM

UPDATE

I apologize for the lack of updating. I have been in Canada since just before Christmas and I will not had the opportunity to update until Saturday.

HERE IS MY DILEMMA:

Regarding things being out of date.....

We are getting to a point where pickings at many store are slim to none. Target has pretty much gotten rid of all their Dreamcast merchandise. The only stores with consistent availibility are either online or at stores similar to Electronics Boutique.

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

I need to know what stores to eliminate from the list. I also need to know what titles are no longer available at most stores (both online and B&M).

I will update the above posts in a this thread. And most likely on Sunday you will see a new Dreamcast deals posting. Again, I apologize for my absence. I look forward to your input!!

Sports Jam

I just picked up Sports Jam (new, NOT used) at my local EB for $7.99. This is a pretty cool little game at an especially good price.
